About
Access shouldn't come with a price tag on justice.
For generations, the courthouse door has stayed open in theory and shut in practice. Not by law, but by paperwork, jargon, and a retainer most families can't front. File My Case exists to close that gap. We turn a plain conversation into a filing packet built the way a California court requires it: complaint, summons, cover sheet, fee waiver, for a fraction of what one hour of a lawyer's time costs.

Where this came from
Our communities have been sold to for decades. Billboards on the 101, bus benches, 2 a.m. ad spots, all promising representation, all funneling toward the same outcome: a fast signature, a faster settlement, and a check that clears long before anyone finds out what the case was actually worth. The system was never built to be understood by the people it affects most. It was built to be navigated by people who already had access.
File My Case was built to hand that access back. Not with a louder billboard, but with the one thing that actually levels the playing field: the paperwork itself, in plain language, in the hands of the person it belongs to, so the choice of how to move forward is theirs, not whoever spent the most on advertising.
File My Case is built in partnership with BrownRock Legal, bringing legal-industry insight to a tool designed for people who've never had a seat at that table before.

Erik Garcia, founder
Erik spent years inside marketing-mill law firms watching how the machine actually works, and years before that as a community organizer fighting for equitable representation on the outside of it.
His conclusion was simple: representation should never depend on who bought the biggest billboard. The people those billboards were aimed at deserve the same shot as anyone else. A person who can't afford a retainer should still be able to walk up to a clerk's window with a filing that holds up. That's the whole idea. Give the voiceless the paperwork, the language, and the choice, and let the playing field actually be level for once.
What we actually do
You answer questions in plain English or Spanish, out loud or by typing. We draft the pleading on 28-line pleading paper, fill the Judicial Council forms, and assemble the packet in filing order with instructions for your county.
You file it. You keep the whole case, and every dollar of it. One price, paid once: no percentage, ever.
Where we stop
We are not a law firm and nothing here is legal advice. Some cases should not be self-filed: a death, a child, a government defendant, medical malpractice, a deadline that already ran.
When we see one, we say so and show you California trial firms that handle that work. We are paid nothing when you call them: no referral fee, no commission, no share of anything you recover. Who you hire, and whether you hire anyone, is entirely your decision.
