The filing fee goes to the clerk, not to us. We tell you what yours will be for your county before you go, and if you can't afford it we prepare the fee waiver with your packet.
What each packet costs
Your answers decide which one you're on. You never pick a plan, we price the case you actually have.
You're owed up to $12,500 and want it back without hiring anyone. No attorneys allowed on either side.

A California judgment earns 10% simple interest and dies ten years after entry unless it's renewed. We check that clock before you pay, and we won't sell a packet for a judgment that has already expired.
You've been served with an unlawful detainer and the clock is running. Most tenants have five days to answer.

The clerk keeps the answer, the attachment, the proof of service, and the fee waiver. The instructions are yours to keep.
Someone who qualifies for a fee waiver has told the court they can't afford a filing fee, so a granted waiver drops any court filing track to $99. The car accident packages are the exception, since a demand to an insurance company is never filed with a court.

If the clerk rejects your filing, tell us what they said and we regenerate the corrected packet at no charge.
If you likely qualify, the FW-001 request is prepared and included, so you can ask the court to waive its own fee.
Your court documents are in English because California courts require it. Your instructions can be in Spanish.

We are not a law firm and we don't appear in court for you. What we do is the drafting and formatting, the part that stops most people from ever filing.
Questions about the money
Do I have to pay to use the interview?
No. The interview is free, and so is reading the draft it produces. You pay only when you want the finished packet to download and file.
When exactly am I charged?
Once, at the end, when you choose to buy the packet for that case. There's no subscription and nothing recurring.
Can I see my documents before I pay?
Yes. You see a watermarked preview of the real draft, generated from your own answers. The clean, filable version is what you're paying for.
What if I have more than one case?
Each case is priced on its own, by its own track. Nothing you buy for one case carries over to another.
What if the clerk rejects my filing?
Send us what the clerk said and we regenerate the corrected packet for free. Most rejections are formatting or a missing form, which is exactly what this is built to prevent.
Can I get a refund?
If we can't produce a filable packet for your case, you don't pay. Once you've downloaded the finished packet the work is delivered. There are NO refunds after work has been delivered.
