Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
You pay once, per case, and only after you have seen your draft. Here is what happens when something goes wrong.
You see the work before you pay
The interview is free. You read a watermarked preview of your complaint and your document list before any payment. If it does not look right, do not pay.
If we can't produce a filable packet, you don't pay
If your matter is outside what the service can handle, or we cannot generate the documents your case needs, you are not charged. If you were already charged, you get a full refund.
Corrections are free, always
Found a typo, a wrong date, or a missing detail? Edit your answers and download the corrected packet at no extra cost, as many times as you need. You paid for the case, not for one download.
If a court clerk rejects your filing, tell us what the clerk said and we regenerate the corrected packet at no charge.
After you download
Once you have downloaded the finished, unwatermarked packet, the work has been delivered. Refunds after that point are reviewed case by case — write to us and explain what happened, and we will look at it honestly.
What we can't refund
Court filing fees, service-of-process costs, and anything else you pay to the court or a third party. Those never pass through us. We also cannot refund based on the outcome of your case; we prepare documents, we do not promise results.
How to request a refund
Email support@filemycase.app from the address on your account with your case name and what went wrong. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.
This page is maintained by file my case and written in plain language to explain how the service works. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for talking to a lawyer about your own situation.
